60 Shots Season-II

The members of Bangladeshi Photographers (BP) family cordially invite you to attend the inauguration ceremony of our latest photographic venture “60 Shots Season-II”, a tailor made photography exhibition project to promote young-armature photographers of Bangladesh.

The walls of Drik Gallery will be adored by 60 photographic works from 60 shutterbugs from the age range of 16-28 years.
Prominent artist Shishir bhattayaria and renowned sculpture Ferdaousi priyobhashini have kindly agreed to inaugurate this carnival of young souls.
We would also be hosting few other events during the exhibition period at the exhibition venue. The details of these event can be seen in our program schedule given bellow.
Program Schedule:
Venue: Drik Gallery, House 58. Road 15A (New), Dhanmondi R/A, Dhaka-1209
Time frame: February 25 to March 01, 2011, 3 PM to 8 PM
Panel of Special Guests: Mr. Shishir Bhattachariya, Ms. Ferdaousi Priyobhashini.
February 25, 2011: Opening ceremony at 4 PM.
February 26, 2011: Musical Soirée by “Mashruk Zaman Khan & Friends”.
February 27, 2011: Free photography workshop “The Secrets, Part-II”
February 28, 2011: Portfolio Review Session by M R Hasan and Mohammad Moniruzzaman where these prominent photographers will do constructive critique on the photographs of the portfolio and give suggestions to the photographer. Members who want to review their portfolio by these masters have to pay BDT-300 to BP on spot. Each portfolio must not consist more than 12 photographs. The portfolios would be reviewed in a first come, first serve basis.
March 1, 2011: Photography presentation of some renowned photographers of Bangladesh.

Bangladeshi Photographers (BP) is the oldest and leading platform for enthusiastic photographers of Bangladesh. From the beginning of its journey, it has taken several initiatives to promote talents (both home and abroad) who’ve pushed themselves in establishing photography as one of the leading art forms in Bangladesh.
In its latest venture, BP is arranging a photography exhibition to promote young amateur photographers of Bangladesh.
In this exhibition, 60 shots of almost 50 young photographers will be showcased at Chobir Haat, Charukola, from August 13- August 15, 2009.

Shamudra Gupta Aid Photography Exhibition 2008

Shamudra Gupta is a famous poet, writer and activist in Bangladesh. He is now fighting with life and death in hospital suffering from cancer. In order to raise fund for his treatment, Bangladeshi Photographers and in association with the students of Institute of Fine Arts of Dhaka University has arranged an exhibition at Charukala Institute, where our members have donated our best photography work.

Venue: Charukala Corridor, Institute of Fine Arts, Dhaka University
Date: 29th May to 2nd June, 2008
Time: Everyday 11 AM to 6:30 PM

The 5-day long Sidr Aid Photography Exhibition 2008 was a huge success! Thanks to all the photographers who contributed their photographs, all the volunteers who worked hard, our sponsor HP, and of coarse the event management company, Saroj.
An open air exhibition with unsold photographs start tomorrow.
